Press / Business contact:
RetroEpic is a game development studio based in Cape Town, South Africa.
RetroEpic was founded in 2007 in Durban, the garden province of South Africa, by two brothers: Keith and Niki Boshoff. Over the years, RetroEpic has had the privilege of working with a number of key partners all over South Africa to produce great games for clients. This income has allowed the company to continue to grow as well as produce its own titles. Starting out with various Flash game titles, RetroEpic produced its first commercial PC title - A Day in the Woods - for release in 2011.Recent History
Since then, RetroEpic has relocated to Cape Town, more than doubled in size and re-released A Day in the Woods on iTunes and Android in 2015. That game went on to win the Unsung Heroes competition and a publishing contract with Spil Games. RetroEpic has also joined forces with fellow local game development studio, Every.Single.Soldier, to bring out a number of war-themed games including Afghanistan '11 (sequel to Vietnam '65) and Carrier Deck.Future Plans
RetroEpic continues to focus on developing their own titles and players can look forward to a number of exciting games in a range of genres from the studio.
